  1. Our Approach to Privacy : Independent Playground Studios (IPS) is an application that allows you to create, participate in, interact with and donate to campaigns, events, and Campaign activities of any kind (“Campaigns”) in order to raise awareness and money for causes that you choose. Our application enables individuals, nonprofits and companies to publish and promote their Campaigns, and allows others to find, join, donate to, provide encouragement for and promote Campaigns. Your use of our service is governed by our general Terms of Use. This privacy policy describes how the information that you may provide in using Independent Playground Studios (IPS) is gathered, how we will use and treat your information, and your ability to control the way in which your information is treated.
  2. Information That You May Provide : You may provide information in your use of Independent Playground Studios (IPS) at the following points:
    1. Application Acceptance:We require you to accept the Independent Playground Studios (IPS) application by signing up to create a Independent Playground Studios (IPS) Profile and create and participate in Campaigns on Independent Playground Studios (IPS). We do not require application signup when simply donating to a Campaign. During the application signup and acceptance process, you will be asked to log in using a social network account or an email address. In the case you choose to log in using a social network account, you agree to provide us access to your basic Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Google profile information which may include your name, profile picture, email address, user ID, lists of friends, location, photos and videos.
    2. Donations:When you make a donation on Independent Playground Studios (IPS), you will be required to provide your credit card number and personal information and email address for verification.
    3. Campaign Acceptance: When you join a Campaign, you may provide the reason for joining the Campaign.
    4. Campaign Participation: As part of participating in a Campaign, you may choose to share a story, upload a photo, upload a video or make posts on social media.
    5. Comments: Campaigns on Independent Playground Studios (IPS) may include comment threads. You may choose to place messages on any Campaign comment threads.
    6. Cookies: We use cookies in order to provide personalized information to you and to enhance your experience on Independent Playground Studios (IPS). Cookies are bits of information that are stored on your computer by your web browser. Cookies can typically be disabled or limited by adjusting the settings on your web browser. If you choose to disable or limit cookies, this may affect application functionality.
  3. How We Use Your Information:
    1. Your Independent Playground Studios (IPS) Profile: Our goal is to help you maximize the reach and the dollars raised by your Campaigns. One place we attempt to do this is through your Profile that includes all of your active and past Campaigns and your donation history as well as personal information you choose to share.
    2. Your Independent Playground Studios (IPS) Experience: We seek to provide you with the most relevant and interesting information while on Independent Playground Studios (IPS). To that end, we use your Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Google profile and information gathered from your activity in the Independent Playground Studios (IPS) application, including cookies, to deliver you content that will be relevant and interesting to you. We may also feature Campaigns taking place in relevant areas such as your hometown or those associated to organizations that you have supported in the past.
    3. Promoting Your Campaigns and Causes: Information about your Independent Playground Studios (IPS) Campaigns will be published on Independent Playground Studios (IPS) and may be highlighted on the Independent Playground Studios (IPS) home page or in other posts and by sending requests for people to join and donate to your Campaigns.
    4. Information About Your Donations: The fact that you have made a donation is a powerful tool for promoting a Campaign and its beneficiary. As such, we will publish your donations and amounts as a part of the Campaign page, your Independent Playground Studios (IPS) Profile. At the time you make a donation, you have the opportunity to keep your donor name anonymous and/or your donation amount hidden.
    5. Information Provided in Participating in Campaigns: The stories, comments, photos and videos you provide during your participation in a Campaign will be published on Independent Playground Studios (IPS). However, only you decide what to share on your social networks. Once you post through your social networks, those posts may be published on Independent Playground Studios (IPS).
    6. Information Provided in Making Your Donations: Information gathered during the donation transaction will be passed along to the benefiting nonprofit during the donation process. This includes your name, mailing address, email address, donation amount and any other relevant information captured during the donation process. We will not store, use or maintain your credit card information without your permission.
    7. Email Messages: We use your email address to communicate with you regarding your use of the Independent Playground Studios (IPS) application. As an Independent Playground Studios (IPS) user, you are automatically opted in to receive updates from us regarding our application performance, policies and practices. We will also send you messages updating you on the status of Campaigns in which you are participating, including donations received, reminders of approaching deadlines, benchmarks met, etc. You may unsubscribe from email messages by clicking the unsubscribe link in emails delivered by Independent Playground Studios (IPS).
    8. Aggregate Information: Independent Playground Studios (IPS) may choose to use aggregate information in reports, benchmarks and various other publications and/or studies. This information may be published and disseminated to nonprofit organizations and the public at large in an effort to share insights regarding giving tendencies and trends.
    9. Analytics: Independent Playground Studios (IPS) may use information from your participation and involvement in the Independent Playground Studios (IPS) application to inform studies and research to help improve the experience of Independent Playground Studios (IPS) users and better serve the broader public with useful information about social engagement, awareness building and giving tendencies and trends.
  4. Sharing Your Information with Third Parties:
    1. Legal Compliance: We will share your information if required to do so by a valid legal request, including court orders and subpoenas. We may also disclose your information if we feel it is necessary to comply with an applicable law, or to prevent imminent and serious harm, fraud or other criminal activity.
    2. Advertisers or Spammers: We will never knowingly or intentionally sell your information to third-parties for the purpose of providing you with advertising or spam.
    3. Change in Ownership: In the event of the sale or transfer of assets of Independent Playground Studios (IPS), we may convey your information to our successor entity so that they may continue to allow you to use the Independent Playground Studios (IPS) application. We would use reasonable efforts to assure that your information will continue to be subject to this Privacy Policy. Independent Playground Studios (IPS) cannot guarantee your privacy upon transfer.
    4. Information Shared with Benefiting Nonprofits: Independent Playground Studios (IPS) will share information gathered during a Campaign with the benefiting nonprofit organization(s). This information may include specific information about your participation in the Campaign, contact information and any other relevant information.
    5. Information Shared with Participating Companies: Independent Playground Studios (IPS) will share information gathered during a Campaign with companies that initiate or sponsor Campaigns. This information may include specific information about your participation in the Campaign, contact information and any other relevant information.
    6. Payment Processors: All information associated with your use of payment processing will be handled in accordance with the terms of the payment processor. When you donate through Independent Playground Studios (IPS), you also agree to the terms and conditions of the payment processor.
  5. Security: We use commercially reasonable methods to maintain the security of the Independent Playground Studios (IPS) application, consistent with industry standards. While maintaining the security of your information is of the utmost importance to us, you should be aware that no security measures are 100% secure. You should take all appropriate precautions with your information. By using Independent Playground Studios (IPS), you assume the risk that the confidentiality of your information may be breached. In addition, to the extent that you visit websites that are linked to from the Independent Playground Studios (IPS) application, we have no control over those websites and cannot guarantee the security of your information thereon.
  6. Protecting Children: Use of the Independent Playground Studios (IPS) application is intended for those 13 years of age or older.   7. International Users: Independent Playground Studios (IPS) is a U.S.-based application governed by United States law.
